OMG! I did NOT run today. :( The first run I've missed in a little over 10 weeks of training. And I really almost went. But my right thigh is just not feeling right so I decided that one day rest would be better than a week+ if I don't let it heal. So today I missed a 5 mile run plus 8 hills i was supposed to do this afternoon. I feel bad and I feel like I should make up those miles but I need to let it go. We'll see. I may run a little extra tomorrow if I'm feeling ok.
So, what did I do today if I didn't run? Well ... I took back my awesome new pair of shoes and exchanged them for a different pair of equally awesome running shoes. I decided they were just a little small in the toe box. So I got some new ones a half a size bigger and a different color. Still Nike LunarGlide+ 2. I changed colors because I have more pink stuff than orange. Here's a picture of the new shoes.
And I also played around with my new phone which included downloading some new apps. And one of them is a photo app called Hipstamatic. It's like a digital darkroom for your phone. And it's soooo cool!!! I played around with it while taking some pictures of the shoes.
And here are some dorky ones I took of myself. It's not often you see me on this blog with makeup on and no running hat. :)



Tomorrow's run is the regular 6 mile fartlek run I do every Friday. I'm gonna try to just do that and forget the run and hills I missed today!!! I just have to keep telling myself it's ok! I don't wanna wear myself out because I have 18 miles again this Sunday. Heal that leg, runner!!
