A Halloween Fourteen!

Well I sat out Saturday's 4 mile run so I would have a good Sunday run.  The biggest problem this week has been my eyes and not my legs.  Weird.  When I woke up on Saturday, my eyes were almost swollen shut.  The cold air does not agree with me.  And I wear glasses every day.  Don't know what else to do.  But no matter.  I set out for my Sunday run and it went pretty well.  No real problems other than my blisters hurt.  Should have worn blister bandaids but decided against it since it was a short run.

At about mile 2.5 I found a friend.  This sweet little puppy ran with me for awhile.  I know the house she lives in so I didn't let her run too far because I didn't want her to get lost.  But I have a soft spot for Rotties.  My favorite dog ever was a Rottweiler named Sally.  I call this little girl Silly - cause she's silly!  :)  But I don't think she's a full Rottweiler.  She has some white markings on her chest.  After I ran with her for a few minutes I stopped and played with her for awhile

This one makes me laugh because she knocked me over (look at my sideways glasses) and then she was biting my chin!  LOL!

Then we played a little longer.

And here's my favorite picture of her.  Sooooo cute!!

But I had to get back to running.  So I did.  The first half of the run went really well.  Wind was at my back and life was good!  At about mile 8 I came upon this car.  It was off a road that doesn't get travelled much so I looked in to make sure no one was still in the car and it was empty.  But I got a little sad because there was a baby seat in the back.  Hope everyone was ok.

Then I got back to civilization and everyone had out their Halloween decorations.  I had fun looking at those.  I even got in the spirit and was running in orange and black.  I think this was my favorite yard.

The last half of the run was tough for me.  Straight into the wind and my blisters were really hurting.  Took a short break at about mile 12.

And here are my splits.  I hate it when I don't have a negative split but the wind was totally a factor today.  Overall just an average run.  Not great but not horrible.  Hoping for a better run next Sunday.  Going back up to 18.

Tomorrow is my rest day.  Will post my weekly stats.
