And I thought I ran slow yesterday! Today I really just couldn't go. I almost just scrapped the run but I decided just to take it nice and slow from the start. About an hour before the run I took a Naproxen and that helped a little. I think my body is just adjusting to two 18-mile Sunday runs in a row. And this Sunday is 20 miles so I'm just going to take it as slow as I need to for the rest of the week to gear up for that.
Today's splits were 9:45, 9:27, 9:27, 9:30 (9:32 average). I'm hoping for a little faster pace tomorrow but we'll see what happens. Today's goal was 85% effort and I definitely gave that even though I was slow.
Tomorrow is a 4 mile 9:00 pace run. Hoping I can keep that pace. Then in the afternoon I am going to run hills. I'm supposed to do 9 hills this week.
