I wasn't sure how today's run would go. My right thigh was a little sore after Sunday's 18 miles. And it didn't seem to get much better yesterday. Just the small amount of running I do with the kids at work yesterday hurt as little. But this morning I felt pretty good and decided to take it slow. But once I got out there, I felt good and was able to keep the 8:45 pace. Split times were 8:47, 8:39, 8:38, 8:16 (8:35 average).
And when I got home, I saw the bag of candy corn I bought yesterday while I was costume shopping with the kids. What could be better than some condensed corn-shaped sugar? YUM!
Tomorrow is supposed to be my hill day but I keep pushing the hills back to Thursday so we'll just see what happens. I know I'll do 4 easy miles in the morning and then maybe hills (8 of them this week!) in the afternoon, maybe not. You just never know with me and hills!
