What does a runner do on her rest day? Well, today I woke up at 4am to the sound of heavy rain so I laid there for a while and listened and was thankful I didn't have to run in it. Then I got up, plowed some fields in FarmVille, did some laundry, colored my hair, took a shower, got ready for work and then went and got the kids donuts since they don't have school today. I may have gotten one or two (or THREE!) for myself, too! Hey ... I ran 44 miles this week and that was 4,500 calories burned! You don't want me gettin all skinny, do ya?! :P Donuts are sooo good! The breakfast of champions. And I'm pretty sure there are some much-needed carbs in them, too.
And on to the stats! Overall average pace for the week was 8.47 minutes/mile. I can live with that! My race pace is 8:35 but 8:45 will get me to Boston. It's just a matter of going that fast for 3 hours and 50 minutes!!
It was another good week for running. I just felt great all week. I'm a little sore today after 18 yesterday but it's just minor. A little pain in my right thigh. I'll do some stretching today and I'll be good as new for tomorrow. I just have a fast (8:45 pace) 4 miles to do tomorrow and the rain is supposed to be gone.
