So glad to run in my regular shoes again! They were nice and dry this morning and my feet thanked me for wearing them! Today was a fartlek run but at about mile 4.5 I was tired of all of the fast and slow and just ran the rest at a good pace. (The last mile I ran really fast because I realized how late it was and I needed to get home in time to get the kiddos ready for school.) Split times were 8:57, 8:49, 9:01, 8:53, 8:37, 8:14 (8:45 average). And the run felt really good. Nice because yesterday was a struggle.
My 6 mile route sometimes takes me by the baseball field. Here I am in Chicago this morning! :P
I don't know what it is lately but I've been sweating like a man! Like completely soaking wet when I get home (and not from the rain). Guess that's a good thing but it's just gross. I sat down at the computer after running today to look at my split times and had to towel off several times. And, yes, I'm aware that my running clothes didn't match so well today. Didn't care. You should have seen the rest of it ... purple and orange shirts, blue shorts, blue and purple shoes and white socks with a red stripe on them. It was dark and no one could see!
This weekend's runs are gonna be swapped because I have work training all weekend and it's the only way I'll be able to fit in my long run. So tomorrow I'm doing my 12 mile run and Sunday will be a short 4. That will be really strange since I ALWAYS do my long runs on Sunday. And I'm gonna have to leave the house pretty early tomorrow in order to make it to my meeting on time. And I have to wear business attire all weekend. Ugh!! What's that?! Those of you that know me know that I work in shorts, a t-shirt and bare feet. So I guess I'll break out the heels and hope they don't hurt my poor, blistered, ugly running feet!
