I can't believe how dark it is when I run. Looking forward to when the time changes and maybe I'll see a little sun. Or by that time it will cool down and I can do some afternoon runs. But for now, it's total darkness except on Sundays. But the sad thing to me is that I see so many school buses out before 6am. They're out picking up the high school kids so they have to get up way early.
I had an average run this morning. Goal was 4 miles at an 8:45 pace and my split times were 8:47, 8:38, 8:48, 8:26 (8:40 average). So I accomplished my goal. But it just didn't feel great. Not bad either. Just ok. Good news is that the blister on my left foot is a ton better today! The short run on Sunday followed by a rest day yesterday did a world of good! Wearing a blister Band-aid both days helped, too!
Was really, really humid out this morning and the sweat on my shirt was proof. Told ya I've been sweating like a man lately. It was funny because after I run, I wake up the kids for school. And I always carry my daughter downstairs. Well today I was so sweaty she asked if she could put on her robe so I didn't get her all wet. LOL!
And that's all for now. I'm not sure how tomorrow's run in gonna work. I'm supposed to start the first of 7 weeks of Wednesday hill training. Tomorrow calls for a 2 mile warm-up, 4 hills and a 2 mile cool-down. Well ... there are no hills close by. And I don't have a treadmill. I may go up to the school and run the stadium steps or get up early and go to where I know there is a hill. Not really sure just yet. But I KNOW I need this hill training because the hills are what killed me in the marathon last year. And I have a mental block on them. Just thinking about those 2 hills at mile 18-21 scares me to death!! So I gotta get over that. :)
love to see u sweat!
