A Sunshiny Sunday Run!

Left the house today right at 6:30am.  I was a little worried because the sun was starting to come up and it was already 79°.  Different from yesterday when it was only 66°.  So I was preparing for a hot 10 miles.  But it didn't turn out too bad and was still 79° when I got home and there was a nice breeze the whole run.  I caught a few pretty glimpses of the sunrise that were picture-worthy.

I was having a good run so I thought I would take a picture of my happy face but had to laugh because it took me 3 pictures before I got a good one.  And looking at all of them together made me smile.  Here's a fun happyrunner triptic for ya!  :D

I got out to "The Big Square" and was feeling really, really good.  And something happened that very rarely happens ... I looked at my watch and could have sworn I was just approaching mile 4 and it said I was at FIVE!!  That was pretty awesome!  Half-way done with my run and I didn't even realize it.  Then I ran by my horse friend.  I sometimes feel sorry for him because he's all alone.  But today the dogs were out with him and I counted at least 7 of them so I guess the horse doesn't get too lonely.

And then I suppose I got a little delirious.  I ran by SO MANY beer cans and bottles today and I saw this giant Bud Light can and had to take a picture.  Maybe next Sunday I'll do a "beer run" and see how many different brands I can take a picture of.  That sounds like fun.  :P

I guess that's it for today.  I really felt good today.  The only issue I had at all was the blister on my left foot.  It was killing me even with a blister bandaid on.  :(  Hopefully it will heal with my rest day tomorrow.  Average pace for the 10 miles today was 9:23.  Slowest lap was mile 2 (9:41) and fastest was the last mile (8:44).  Love it when I have enough left in me to kick it up a little the last mile.  :D
